Four Mothers Tallit
This tallit features the matriarchs: Sarah, Rebecca, Leah and Rachel.
Band I Scene I
Sarah, Abraham's wife, is seen preparing bread for the three sojourners (whose silhouettes are visible), who have come to foretell the birth of Isaac.
Band I Scene II
Eleazar who has been sent by Abraham to find a suitable wife for his beloved son Isaac, meets Rebecca who offers to water his camels and subsequently marries Isaac.
Band II Scene I
Leah is seen with her children among the mandrakes her son Reuben gives her as a gift, which she exchanges with her sister Rachel for a night with Jacob.
Band II Scene II
Rachel, the shepherdess, holds a baby goat.
The traditional blessing on the neckband is in crowned Hebrew lettering.
A matching tallit bag, teffilin bag and kippah are also available. The tallit bag is made of cream wool blend and has a strip of painted silk running horizontally.
The tallit tzitziot (threads) are handspun.
The tallit and all items are handmade.
