The Heroines of the Bible Tallit honors women of the Bible.
Band I
From right to left, the four mothers: Sarah, Rebecca, Leah and Rachel with her children; Dinah, daughter of Jacob and Leah; Yocheved, mother of Moses; Miriam, sister of Moses and Aaron; Tamar, Judah's daughter-in-law; and the daughters of Zelophehad who win the right to inherit.
Band II Scene I
The Prophetess Deborah sits under a date tree between Ramah and Beth-El in the mountain of Ephraim where the Israelites come to her for judgment.
Band II Scene II
Hannah, later to mother the prophet Samuel, longs for a child.
The traditional blessing on the neckband is in crowned Hebrew lettering.
A matching tallit bag, teffilin bag and kippah are also available. The tallit bag is made of cream wool blend and has a strip of painted silk running horizontally.
The tallit tzitziot (threads) are handspun.
The tallit and all items are handmade. |
