Emor Tallit
Parasha Emor discusses the laws regarding the priests, the sanctuary and the festivals. In spring festival included bringing the first fruits to the Tabernacle and the sacrifice of a lamb or goat.
Band I
The first fruits of the harvest are being brought to the Tabernacle.
Translation of Hebrew (Leviticus 23, 9):
"You shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring the first fruits of your harvest."
Band II
A lamb is being brought for the ceremony of the waving of the Omer.
Translation of Hebrew (Leviticus 23, 12):
"And in the day when ye wave the sheaf, ye shall offer a yearling without blemish for a burnt offering…"
The neckband of the tallit is decorated with the traditional blessing, hand painted with gold-outlined, crowned, Hebrew lettering.
The tallit is shown on a background of cream wool blend. The tallit tzitziot (threads) are handspun.
A matching tallit bag, tefillin bag and kippah are also available. The tallit bag is made of cream wool blend and has a strip of painted silk running horizontally.
The tallit and all items are handmade.
